About

HiI was raised in a liberal Jewish family in the US, but became areligious and even agnostic during my teenage years. After having a crisis of meaning in college, I began studying Jewish theology, meditation and mysticism, finding my own connection to a Judaism that I had previously found impenetrable.I am now passionate about teaching people of all backgrounds the spiritually charged aspects of Judaism and how that can help them deepen their spirituality and hear their kol demama daka, their inner voice of silence.I studied Jewish theology, meditation and mysticism at the University of California, Berkeley, The Graduate Theological Union, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, The Jewish Theological Seminary as well as Emory University.I love yoga (and am a part of the Jewish Yoga Network), biking, dancing and singing.I am also involved in community projects that foster interreligious understanding. One project is the Interreligious Oase where different religious communities in Basel come together to garden, learn about each other's religions and share in our harvests. Additionally, I am on the board of inforel.ch, an informational interreligious platform showcasing over 400 religious institutions in the Basel region. If you have specific questions, please contact me at [email protected]"Gabrielle Girau Pieck is a wonderful teacher who gently takes each course participant by the hand and, without any pressure to perform, introduces and instructs them in the secrets of Jewish mysticism and meditation. As an attentive, experienced listener with an attitude of spiritual openness, she is able to provide valuable guidance so that each individual can progress in their personal growth. I can really recommend this course to anyone who wants to learn more about the dynamics of our conscious and subconscious mind through the inspiring approach of Jewish mysticism and meditation." Sabrina D."I love reading your newsletter! I have a book at home with stories about the Hasidim. But I find it very difficult to read. With you, it's easy to understand.""I participated in four evenings of the Aleph Bet Meditation Course.
I was very fascinated by the levels of meaning (the connection between words that contain the same letter). We were also able to make a direct connection to personal implementation. That worked for me. It was a great group of women, where you Gabrielle understood and reflected each individual well. Her profound experience was palpable. The introduction to movement was helpful, as were the texts for preparation. Since I participated spontaneously, I was able to quickly decide on a practical meditation content that I can easily maintain. I will take the meditation experiences and encouraging quotes with me."
